They build a model sailboat. The mast is two centimeters high betwween the mainsail. You want the base of the candle a lenggth have of 11 inches. If the angle x 10 in sailing at 44 degrees, what is the height of the mast to the nearest inch

I'm not sure what you betwween in "The mast will mean an inch high the mainsail, but I guess that means it is 2 cm above the base of the mast for sailing.
Trigonometry to find the height (y).
Tan angle = Y / X
x = base length of 11 inches and angle = 44deg as follows:
Tan 44 = y/11
y = 11 of 44
= 10.6 cm
+ 2 cm Mast
= 12.6 cm.
